Because insurance policy coverage varies from plan to plan, please be sure to carefully read the Patient Financial Agreement on the Patient Information form.
If Medac does not file the type of insurance you have, you will be given a standard insurance form and guidance in filing your insurance claim.
Medac is happy to provide services for patients who do not have health insurance. Self-pay patients are offered a 20% discount on all services, provided payment is made in full at the time of service.
Payment options include: MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Checks (NC only), Travelers’ checks, and Cash.

While Medac provides quality healthcare for many illnesses and injuries, there are certain medical conditions that should always be treated by a hospital emergency department. Please call 911 or go directly to a hospital emergency department if you are experiencing chest pain, difficulty breathing, loss of consciousness, or think you may be having a stroke.

Only Medac Urgent Care has four convenient locations, including one just across the bridge from Wrightsville Beach, another in Porters Neck near Figure Eight Island, a third on Shipyard Boulevard with extended hours, and a fourth in Monkey Junction. All locations are staffed by board-certified physicians or certified physician assistants (PAs) or family nurse practitioners (FNPs). Importantly, patients who want to be guaranteed of seeing a physician should visit our Shipyard Blvd. or Porter’s Neck locations where a physician is always in clinic treating patients.
